Sensitive skin is a condition of the epidermis which can occur in all skin types:

the immune system is hyperactive, nerve-endings are ultrasensitive, and it reddens with the slightest pressure.

The “calm” line is designed for reactive, sensitive skin as well as skin which is only temporarily more sensitive.
